Continuation from Part 2

The Task was that I need to perform like a Katu Vaasi , I wasnt able to get all the necessary things asked by my chrisma but was able to do some facials to my face and performed to an extent

Assume yourself as salesman... wear your bag and sell the pens to everyone...

Note: U must sell it in local tamil slang

Wear tie, cools and cap(compulsary)

Mention atleast 2 quality of pen.

atleast 2 ppl must buy the pen.

I did a pretty good job in it , My mom was all praise for me . Just copied over some film dialogues and started with "Vanathula Plane Parakuthu , Kadala Kappal methakuthu" and it went in a flow .

The Next Task

Assume myself as a Milkman and sell milk to house and also sing "Shenbagamey Shenbagamey" Song in English

Did a justification to the task given and translated the song and sang it

The Final Task

Assume me as a small Kid , Put pony tail and keep the thumb in the mouth

Ha ha ha , you must be wondering how I would , Here is the sneak peak of it

It was all fun as the final day came and the unveiling of each and everyone's chrisma . There was lot of gifts exchanged accross

I got a Nice Shirt and a Diary consisting of all the above photos from my Chrisma . It was really a valuable gift . The Chrisma Jolted down all the tasks given and how i executed them . A valuable treasure indeed , It was a very good experience , I would recommend everyone to play and enjoy a lot . It increases the bonding between persons

Continuation from Part 1

When the task is to invite , Just we cant go and invite so just put in a thought process and then came up with an invitation of my own with just one A4 paper torn in to half . One used as the cover and the other one with the invite.

Morning Invited everyone with the same invite saying Budget problem . It was an awesome experience preparing my own invite

The Invite is currently with my SIS and will preserve it

The Next Task was to Dance Bharathanatiyam for the Kalasala song from the movie Osthi with the Lunch Bag in head in the bus with all the movements and the bumps

Planned to do some practice , watched some Bharathanatiyam videos the previous night learnt a few steps and in the morning Danced for that song . To be Frank just the four steps for the complete songs , It was really embrassing momemt my only worry was not to embrass the oldest form of the dance in front of everyone , Did some justice to it

The Next Task to come complete with Make up like a "Kaatu Vaasi" and dance for the song "Zumbare Zumba Zumba" . Unfortunately due to all the climatic changes I got stuck with the heavy fever . Eventhough I was present to the office I wasn't able to really perform as the shivering didn't stop even after wearing two sweaters and taking tablets , Literally wasn't able to walk completely down and out for a week . My mom was so good that I was asked not to perform the task untill I am back to full fitness

I really need to tell about my Chrisma at this moment . For the all the tasks which I had till now I got valuable gifts and more than the appreciation for the Hardwork that is put in . Its been a wonderful experience doing all these and a kind of a mind relaxation from the hectic day to work

Chrisma Chrischild Part 1

It's Christmas month and in my office bus and in my team (40 people) have started playing the game Chrisma Chrischild

I am being participating in both the places it seems quite interesting and challenging sometimes

The First task assigned to me was to speak only in "Tamil" for 1hr and oh boy after I completed the task really felt ashamed and embarrassed , I literally struggled to translate some of the easy objects names from English in to Tamil , to add to that everyone in the bus started asking all kinds of words in English and asked me to translate to tamil , So challenging !!!!

I was even asked to sing the song "Kolaveri di" in Tamil , somehow managed to sing and pull it off but that day I really learnt a lesson , being bron and brought up in Tamilnadu/chennai from birth it was so embrassing tht i couldn't speak the local language or find appropriate Tamil words to the asked English words

Same day from the Team I was asked to say "Good Morning" to everyone at 4pm , It was kind of easy task

The Next day was so interesting go to everyone and say "Anna Coffee Saapiteengala , Anna tiffin Saapiteengala" including my Bus Driver , It was really fun and was able to Pull it off

Tomorrow(Dec 7th 2011) seems to be an awesome prospect as the task is so funny , as I need to go and invite everyone including driver by saying "enaku nalaiku kalyanam elarum kudumbathodu vanthuduga." . My Chrisma has put in a lot of thought process in to it :)

Is El Clasico the Biggest Game in the Football History ?

Yes it is better than the Manchester Derby or the Milan Derby . The El Clasico is played between one of the top two football teams in the World and wonder they are from the same country SPAIN

It is played between Barcelona and Real Madrid . Over the years this game as been one of the most ferocious game with lot of controversies and one of the most watched game in the History of Football

Last two years been all Barcelona and they have thrashed Real Madrid and have made them look like school kids on the pitch

This time though promises to me one of the looked out encounters as REAL MADRID winning their last 14 matches and Barcelona peaking at right time beating Levante 5-0 . Both team look to match the others skin to skin on the pitch

Being a Die-Hard Real Madrid Fan I still feel Barcelona hold the aces but you never know what the special one (Jose Mourniho ) is thinking .I feel Real should attack than to defend and contain Barcelona , Being 6pts ahead Draw will give an edge on the points and will take them closer to the title as El Clasico determines the title holder . But having been beaten badly by Barcelona , Real should give them a fight and play to their potential and avoid making school boy errors

A professor stood before his Philosophy class and had some items in front of him.

When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty
mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full.

They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the
jar.

He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between
the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full.

They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.

Of course, the sand filled up everything else.

He asked once more if the jar was full.

The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and
poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty
space between the sand.

The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to
recognize that this jar represents your life.

"The golf balls are the important things - your God, family, your
children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions - things
that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would
still be full.

"The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house,
and your car.

"The sand is everything else--the small stuff.

"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room
for the pebbles or the golf balls.

"The same goes for life.
"If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never
have room for the things that are important to you.

"Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Play with your children.

"Take time to get medical checkups.

"Take your partner out to dinner.

"There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

The 90/10 Principle

Have you read this before? Discover the 90/10 Principle. It will change your life (at least the way you react to situations). What is this principle?

10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react. What does this mean?

We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic. We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%.

How? By your reaction. You cannot control a red light., but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react.

Let's use an example. You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just what happened. What happens when the next will be determined by how you react.You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over.

She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your spouse must leave immediately for work.

You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit. After a 15-minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home, When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter.

Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning. Why did you have a bad day?

A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is " D".

You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day. Here is what could have and should have happened.

Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "It's ok honey, you just need, to be more careful next time". Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.

Notice the difference? Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different.

Why? Because of how you REACTED. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle. If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off)

Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them? WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your drive? Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.

You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time into finding another job. The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take out your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on. Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse. Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it.

The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle.

The result? Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. We all must understand and apply the 90/10 principle.

Warning: It CAN change your LIFE!!! For good, ofcourse!

"Self Appraisal"

A little boy went into a drug store, reached for a soda carton and pulled it over to the telephone. He climbed onto the carton so that he could reach the buttons on the phone and proceeded to punch in seven digits (phone numbers).

The store-owner observed and listened to the conversation:

Boy: "Lady, Can you give me the job of cutting your lawn?

Woman: (at the other end of the phone line): "I already have someone to cut my lawn."

Boy: "Lady, I will cut your lawn for half the price of the person who cuts your lawn now."

Woman: I'm very satisfied with the person who is presently cutting my lawn.

Boy: (with more perseverance) : "Lady, I'll even sweep
your curb and your sidewalk, so on Sunday you will
have the prettiest lawn in all of Palm beach , Florida."

Woman: No, thank you..

With a smile on his face, the little boy replaced the receiver. The store-owner, who was listening to all this, walked over to the boy.

Store Owner: "Son... I like your attitude; I like that positive spirit and would like to offer you a job."

Boy: "No thanks,

Store Owner: But you were really pleading for one.

Boy: No Sir, I was just checking my performance at the
job I already have. I am the one who is working for that lady I was talking to!"

This is what we call "Self Appraisal"

A gentleman once visited a temple under construction where he saw a sculptor making an idol of God. Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby.

Surprised, he asked the sculptor, "Do you need two statues of the same idol?" "No," said the sculptor without looking up, "We need only one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage."

The gentleman examined the idol and found no apparent damage. "Where is the damage?" he asked."There is a scratch on the nose of the idol." said the sculptor, still busy with his work.

"Where are you going to install the idol?" The sculptor replied that it would be installed on a pillar twenty feet high. "If the idol is that far, who is going to know that there is a scratch on the nose?" the gentleman asked.

The sculptor stopped his work, looked up at the gentleman, smiled and said, "I know it and God knows it!"

The desire to excel should be exclusive of the fact whether someone appreciates it or not. "Excellence" is a drive from inside, not outside. Excel at a task today - not necessarily for someone else to notice but for your own satisfaction.

Six reasons for Choosing Drupal

Its an exciting time in the world of Open Source CMS (Content/Community Management System). Today Drupal released version 6.0 of its award winning software. This release comes fast on the tails of last month's Joomla 1.5 release of their own popular CMS.

There has never been a better time to consider moving to an Open Source CMS solution. I can't speak to the specific strengths of Joomla or the other Open Source CMSs available, but if you are thinking of changing your web site management software or are just beginning your software search, consider the following about Drupal.

Drupal is Mature, Feature Rich, Secure, Supported, Widely Adopted and Free software.

Why should you care about these six strengths? Read on to find out.

Maturity

Drupal celebrated its seventh Birthday this past year. Age is not always a perfect indication of our maturity, but the passage of time provides opportunities to learn and grow, and when we take advantage of those opportunities we mature. 50 Drupal Tips and Tricks

Drupal admin and configuration:

Create a "HTML help" block and assign it to appear on only "node/*/edit" and "node/add/*"
Use the "edit permissions" link on admin/user/roles to get a single column
Use the Firefox Web Developer Toolbar to "Populate Form Fields" on the access page for the admin role
Use "site:drupal.org {search terms}" to search all of drupal.org with
Google. Set up a Firefox shortcut so you can type "dru [your search]" to
search Drupal. Also api.drupal.org/apis/{search_term}
When using pathauto to alias usernames, don't let users change their usernames.
Use PathAuto and Path Redirect together to redirect old aliases to the new ones. Search engines will love you.
Use Global Redirect to make sure home page is "/" and current page doesn't have an alias.
When creating PathAuto template, keep uniqueness in mind -- perhaps add a date to your blog and news entries.
Move the "My Account" menu item by creating a custom menu item at 'user'
Use update_status module along with cvs_deploy & cvs tags to manage sites
Use ImageCache to resize images. It's worth the poor u.i. and configuration challenges. Tastes best with ImageField, CCK, and Views.
Turn any CCK type with an imagefield into a photocast with ConTemplate
Use Automatic Node Titles
whenever you want to have separate (CCK) fields for first name and last
name, but you want the node title to contain the full name.
Use SimpleMenu to remove the need for an admin block on the page.
Set your site in "offline mode" when doing Drupal upgrades, to
ensure that your end users are never exposed to any funky errors.
Use locale.module to change English text into other English text.
Example: change "Forums" to "Message Boards". Slight performance issue
for high-traffic sites. In Drupal 6, there's a new "locale lite"
feature to translate only a few pieces of interface text without the
overhead of locale module itself. Check the bottom of
default.settings.php for more details.
Use views + views_fastsearch to build "section search" or custom advanced search pages

Enable the contributor block on drupal.org. This will give you
access to all kinds of useful links, as well as tell you how close we
are to releasing Drupal 6.

Ninja search #1: Negative words. Eliminate the words you don't want with a minus in front: -Joomla

Views

Use theme('view', {arguments}) to embed a view anywhere in your theme's template.php or .tpl.php files
Use the custom argument handling code in a View to change anything
about a view: filters, number displayed, fields, and of course
arguments. You can alter these items with or without conditionals.
Change the number of columns in a grid view; change the number of items
that appear if the "feed" argument is present; etc... (see #36 to see

Use Views + Taxonomy
Redirect to use a custom view for each vocabulary's listing pages.

Translate your javascript by doing

Get translated strings from javascript: Drupal.settings.my_module.mystring
Same with urls:
drupal_add_js(array('my_module' => array('my_url' => url('node/10'))), 'setting') ?>

It's more reliable and less work than using $base_path and Clean URL setting.

can not only be used to check over code for coding standards
compliance, but can also be used to notify you of things that need to

be helpful if you have a question about how a function is used.

Ganguly to retire after Australia Tests

Sourav Ganguly has said he will retire after the upcoming Test series against Australia. His statement, a moment of unscripted drama at the end of a routine press conference in Bangalore, ends widespread speculation over his future.

"Just one last thing lads, before I leave, I just want to say that this is going to be my last series," Ganguly said after taking the last question of his press conference. "I've decided to quit. I told my team-mates before coming here. These four Test matches are going to be my last and hopefully we'll go on a winning note."

With that, he got up and walked out, offering no explanation for what led to the decision. Shortly after that Kris Srikkanth, the head of India's new selection panel, threw some light on it. "I think he's probably taken the right decision," Srikkanth said. "He had a good chat with me and my co-selector Narendra Hirwani. He wants a peaceful series without any troubles on his mind. As a player I can tell you that when you have an axe over your head it doesn't feel right."

India's selectors, headed by Srikkanth, picked Ganguly in a 15-man squad for the first two Tests against Australia despite his being overlooked for the Irani Cup match between theince Rest of India and Delhi. Lacking top-quality match practice since the end of the Sri Lanka Tests, he was rushed to Chennai for an India 'A' match against New Zealand.

"To be honest I didn't expect to be picked for this series," Ganguly said. "But once I was chosen, I started preparing. Even when I was left out of the Rest of India squad, which was a bit of a surprise for me, I was still training with the Bengal boys."

Ganguly also dismissed speculation over a "voluntary retirement scheme" for the senior members of India's squad. "I don't think it's ever possible that anybody can offer you a VRS. You cannot do that to players like [Anil] Kumble, [Rahul] Dravid, [VVS] Laxman, me, Sachin [Tendulkar] or anyone.

"What is important is what you get to know from the board [BCCI] and as far as I, and some of the senior players, are concerned, we have not received any intimation from the board on anything."

Ganguly, 36, has scored 6888 runs in 109 Tests, with 15 hundreds. He played 49 Tests as captain, the most by an Indian. The 21 matches won during his tenure is also an Indian record, and his win percentage of over 40 is the highest for players who have captained India in more than one Test. Starting with a hundred on debut, Ganguly's Test average has never dipped below 40.

In 311 ODIs, he scored 11,363 runs at 41.02. He captained India in 147 ODIs. His last ODI was against Pakistan in Gwalior on November 15, 2007. He is one of only three players to complete the treble of 10,000 runs, 100 wickets and 100 catches in ODIs, Sanath Jayasuriya and Sachin Tendulkar being the others. Along with Tendulkar, he formed a prolific partnership at the top of the order, with 6609 runs at an average of nearly 50 per stand in 136 innings.

Since his recall in December 2006 and till the end of the home series against South Africa earlier this year, Ganguly scored 1571 runs at 50.67, including a maiden double-century. However, he managed only 96 runs in six innings during India's 2-1 series defeat in Sri Lanka this summer.

Will Ferrari and Massa win Championship

I would have said Ferrari and Felipe Massa were the favourites until Singapore, but their futuristic pit stop exit system ruined his race and it could have cost them the championship, and maybe the constructors' title as well,

"Seven points is a good chunk to be ahead with 3 races to go, so Lewis Hamilton's in a good position.

"He might do it."

Massa will now need to rely on Hamilton hitting trouble if he is to get back into the title fight.

"A non-score would be extremely painful,"

"That's what's just happened to Felipe.

"If Lewis has another one then it's game back on.

"Both teams have been making mistakes - everyone does - but you're penalised heavily for them when you're at the front."

I also believe team orders will be a factor - with Heikki Kovalainen and Kimi Raikkonen potentially being used to disrupt the title contenders' races.

"Both have number two drivers who can play a role in support now Kimi Raikkonen's out of it - with strategy in some stints in the race, or in terms of short-filling with fuel in qualifying and getting track position for the first stint,"
